Product description

Raychem TFT-E (Tool Free Termination) by TE Connectivity is the latest advance in cold-shrink terminations for polymeric cables rated 5, 8, 15, 25 and 35 kV. The kit body is made of silicone rubber with excellent hydrophobic, mechanical and dielectric properties, plus resistance to UV and surface discharges. Electrical stress control uses Zinc-Oxide (ZnO) particles together with moisture-blocking tapes, delivering reliable installation and long-term performance even under harsh environmental conditions. Available for single-core tape-shielded cables and jacketed concentric / wire-shielded (JCN / CN) cables, from #2 AWG up to 1250 kcmil. Indoor versions use the -G suffix (no skirts); outdoor versions use -SG (3 to 8 skirts depending on voltage class). The system meets or exceeds IEEE-48-1996 Class 1 requirements, with > 6 hours @ 3.5 kV in Tracking & Erosion (TERT) tests — ideal for extra-high pollution areas. Creepage distance calculated for high pollution levels (coastal areas) per IEC 60071-2 and IEC 60815. Also available for three-core cables via the MOD-3-TFT accessory and with stainless-steel BRKT mounting supports. Standard packaging: 3 terminations per box (1 per box on JCN/CN variants). Add the -CA suffix to include cleaning kit and Spanish instruction sheets. Each termination is configured per project.
