TE Connectivity's Raychem HVT-Z line is a one-piece heat-shrink termination system for shielded medium voltage cables, qualified IEEE-48 as Class I. The main component is Raychem's non-tracking tube coextruded with a zinc-oxide (ZnO) electrical stress control grading layer, which delivers superior discharge and impulse performance.
It covers the complete range from 5 kV through 35 kV, in indoor (suffix -G, no skirts) and outdoor (suffix -SG, 1 to 4 skirts depending on voltage class) variants. The kit can be ordered with T5/T8/T9 self-stripping bolt aluminum lug connectors from TE Connectivity, which accept conductors from #2 compact through 1000 kcmil class B.
Every termination is configured per project (voltage, environment, conductor size, shield type and lug option). Use the configurator to specify your parameters and we will reply with a formal proposal including the exact kit reference, certification and lead time.
