Product description

Pfisterer is one of the world's leading suppliers of overhead-line strings and fittings, with over 50 years producing fittings and over 30 years manufacturing composite insulators. The catalog spans 1.5 kV through 1,000 kV in AC and DC applications. A complete overhead-line string is an assembly of several components: insulators (SILCOSIL silicone composite, toughened glass cap-and-pin, or porcelain longrod), end fittings standardised to IEC 60120 (ball-and-socket 16/20/24/30) or IEC 60471/61466 (tongue-clevis, Y-clevis), yoke plates for double/quad strings, shackles and extension links — hot-dip galvanised, arcing horns, corona / grading rings for high voltage, suspension clamps (trunnion · Armour Grip AGS · envelope corona-controlled) or tension clamps (compression dead-end · bolted strain · wedge), Stockbridge dampers tuned to the conductor and, on bundles, spacer-dampers. This 5-step wizard configurator captures the complete engineering specification Pfisterer needs to issue a formal proposal: topology (single/double suspension, single/double tension, suspended double tension, pole-top), application (phase conductor / ground wire / OPGW), voltage (15-1000 kV), bundle (1-4 sub-conductors), insulator material and mechanical class (70-530 kN), IEC 60815 pollution level, end fittings, clamps, dampers and accessories. The wizard outputs a structured Bill of Materials with per-string and total quantities, plus a compact configuration code. Pfisterer's formal proposal confirms part numbers, alloys, lengths and lead times. Ideal for transmission projects 145-800 kV (new lines, uprating, aerial crossings), distribution 15-72 kV (poles, cross-arms, dead-ends), OHGW/OPGW ground wires.
