The Holophane Petrolux LED (HPLED) by Acuity Brands is an LED luminaire engineered specifically for hazardous locations where dust, dirt and moisture are concerns: petroleum refineries, ethanol facilities, chemical plants, power plants, textile mills, water and wastewater treatment, parking garages and tunnels. Housing is robust low-copper cast aluminum (0.6% Cu content) that withstands harsh environments. Available with universal ceiling/pendant mount (UN) or universal wall/stanchion mount (US). A precise fin count dissipates heat to reach up to 131°F (55°C) ambient. Prismatic borosilicate glass optics direct light where needed and reduce glare; polycarbonate lens also available. Three distributions (Type 5 low angle, Type 5 high angle, Type 1 long & narrow) maximize versatility. 0–10V dimming driver standard, CRI > 70 nominal, 4000K or 5000K CCT, fault-tolerant LED engine that keeps providing light even with a single-LED failure. Surge protection up to 10 kV / 5 kA per ANSI C82.77-5-2015.
